first hosts

Even though I haven't hit the road yet, I'm sort of already on my feet - I spent most of the last week at the Knowles' beautiful house in Palo Alto, and I am forever indebted to them for their hospitality.

They gave me a bed and a shower and FOOD, and they even let me use their computer (In fact, I'm using it right now).

At this point, I'd like to show some pictures of the Knowles, but for some reason I didn't really take any (except for some vain self-portraits, using the huge mirror in the room where I slept).

Well, I took one lousy picture of the kids, as they were leaving this morning, but it's really strange to me that I didn't take more... maybe it has something to do with feeling at home, rather than on vacation.

Knowles, I'm going to miss you.

*note to potential future hosts: I will not, by any means, be ungrateful to you if you have less to offer than the Knowles family.

starting

Mikey and I are planning (starting to plan) our European trip, (and not in a very proactive way)... We've got a couple of contacts (2), and we've got a little bit of money (a little bit). We'll need to increase one or the other, though, so that I don't go completely broke during this trip (but that might happen anyways).

Will try to keep the blog up-to-date

Roadtrip with Jon

Man, there were 3 big things that kinda killed the prospect of a Portland roadtrip: lack of money, lack of a camera, and lack of contacts. We spent a considerable bit of energy in all 3 directions, but it just wasn't in the cards this time around, it really wasn't in the cards.

So we hung out around the Bay Area, watching documentaries as usual, and we started working on a project for this thing called filmocracy.

We'll take a roadtrip to Portland someday, but just not this summer.
